Costal ESS
Our unique expertise
A Perfect Combination of Marine Application Standard & Landbase Application Cost
Approximately 40% of the world’s population lives within 100 km (62 miles) of a coastline. This area often suffers high humidity and high salinity air, sometime even wave erosion. The environment condition is similar as the marine environment.
Together with our experienced R&D team with knowledge in both maritime and landbase ESS, Green Whale successfully developed the unique solution of the industry that suitable for costal ESS application. We pay attention to every detail to ensure a reliable ESS which will constantly in operation without the worry from quick corrosion. With marine standard container design and our onsite service and maintenance support, our costal ESS can sustain minimum 15 years lifetime in such a challenging environment, meanwhile the cost is at the same level of landbase ESS.

Marine standard Anti-corrosion Technology
Green Whale Technology specializes in manufacturing costal area used battery containers with advanced Marine Standard Anti-Corrosion Technology, ensuring durability in harsh environments.
Our containers feature high-grade epoxy and polyurethane coatings that meet IMO PSPC and ISO 12944 C5-M standards, providing exceptional seawater and chemical resistance. We use marine-grade steel an alloys, along with hot-dip galvanization (ISO 1461), to enhance structural longevity.
To prevent electrochemical corrosion, we integrate cathodic protection systems. Additionally, all major equipment undergo salt spray testing for long-term performance validation.
By combining these industry-leading anti-corrosion technologies, we deliver reliable, long-lasting marine battery containers that meet the highest international standards, supporting sustainable and efficient power solutions for the maritime industry.

Marine standard Anti-humidity & Ingress Technology
Green Whale Technology designs Costal ESS containers with advanced anti-humidity technology to ensure long-term durability in harsh maritime environments.
Our containers feature IP55 rated enclosures with marine-grade rubber sealed doors and EPDM gaskets, providing superior moisture protection. To further prevent condensation, we integrate dehumidifiers and silica gel packs inside the enclosures.
Continuous seam welding and hermetically sealed battery compartments eliminate gaps that could allow water intrusion.
Every container undergoes ISO 9227 humidity testing, ensuring optimal performance in extreme marine conditions. By implementing these technologies, we provide highly reliable and weatherproof battery containers, safeguarding critical energy storage for offshore and maritime applications.
